Herston is a Principal at tryb focused on investments, portfolio management and investor relations.

Prior to joining tryb, Herston was Head of Southeast Asia and India Business Development for The Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) in their Investment Services division. In 2015 he was relocated to Singapore to establish their presence and lead their Southeast Asia and India strategy. Herston executed the first single-listed U.S. ADR listing (NASDAQ) from Southeast Asia and has led numerous successful business development strategies throughout Asia-Pacific.

He spent five years in Hong Kong covering the China market and built BNY Mellon’s value-added advisory platform for their Asia-Pacific clients. He has advised unlisted, pre-IPO and listed companies on investor relations and market access strategies. He has extensive experience in supporting technology companies and their advisors with respect to IPOs and US listings. Herston began his career in New York where he focused on connecting international companies with North American institutional investors.

Herston has a Master of Economics degree from Hunter College in New York City and an Executive MBA from INSEAD. He is a recovering hipster from Brooklyn with Texan roots and loves attending Orange Theory Fitness classes.
