Singapore – The Board of Directors of tryb Group announced the appointment of Girija Pande as an Independent Director of the firm.

Mr. Pande spent over a decade with TCS as Head of Asia Pacific, his last role being Chairman of TCS, Asia-Pacific. He established TCS’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore in 2001 and pioneered its business growth in Asia. He has spent over three decades in the Asia Pacific region working in senior capacities at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd and ANZ Banking Group.

As one of the largest IT services brands worldwide, TCS has businesses spanning across several services lines, including application development, enterprise solutions and IT infrastructure services. Mr. Pande played an integral role in growing technology services in this developing region.

Prior to TCS, Girija was Chairman and CEO of ANZ Grindlays Funds Management and as a banker with the ANZ Banking Group for over two decades, he held senior postings in Korea, Hong Kong and Bahrain. He has also been active as a member of high-level policy-planning committees at the Reserve Bank of India, Indian Institute of Bankers and was involved in the IT Manpower Development Council of Singapore Government’s Infocomm Development Authority (IDA). Mr Pande also serves on many Corporate and non-profit Boards.

Biography of Mr. Girija Pande

Mr. Pande spent over a decade with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd, based in Singapore, with his last role as Chairman of TCS, Asia-Pacific. He established TCS’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore in 2001 and as CEO, pioneered its business growth in Asia.

Mr. Pande was also the Vice Chairman of TCS’ joint venture with the Chinese Government in Beijing in 2001.  Mr. Pande’s also served as the Economic Advisor to the Mayor of Guangzhou, China’s third largest city.  As a banker with ANZ Banking Group for over two decades he held senior postings in Korea, Hong Kong, Bahrain and India.

In addition, Mr. Pande has served on professional and government think tanks in Singapore and India.  He was a council member for the Singapore Government’s Manpower Council set up by the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) and served on the advisory board of Singapore Management University (SMU). He serves on the board of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) and the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), which is affiliated to the National University of Singapore (NUS). He also chaired the Singapore-based India Business Forum, affiliated to India’s Chamber of Commerce (CII) for five years.  He is a Trustee of Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA) and on the board of the Singapore’s National Council of Social Services.

Mr. Pande is currently on the Boards of Micro-Mechanics (Holdings), Ascendas India Trust, IBS Technologies Pte Ltd & Tata Communications Pte Ltd. He holds an engineering degree and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
