Jason began his career trading interest rate derivatives at a Chicago based hedge fund. He then moved to JPMorgan Chase where he held a number of positions within trading, technology, risk management and project management. While at JPMorgan, he earned a Master of Science degree in Quantitative Finance from Illinois Institute of Technology.
Upon completion of his master’s degree, Jason moved to BP in Chicago where his focus was credit analytics on the firm’s derivatives portfolio where he delivered high-impact projects. Halfway through his stint at BP, Jason switched roles to pure technology and moved to London where he managed a global team of software engineers building trading and risk platforms.
Jason left BP for an agricultural trading firm in Singapore to pursue an opportunity to transform the business with technology. Today, he is technology adviser to a US-based startup, manages a trading portfolio, speaks at local Meetups and technology conferences, codes in his free time and remains extremely passionate about technology.
